Accompanying change processes in a culturally sensitive way
Agile Coaching

Agile transformation - systemic intercultural support
As an experienced intercultural systemic coach, I support companies and teams in their agile transformation. My focus is on interculturality, which enables me to support teams and managers in their ability to adapt to new ways of thinking and perspectives.
Agility and German culture - a contradiction?
Based on the German cultural standards according to Alexander Thomas, agile working is at odds with the traditional German way of working. While the agile manifesto emphasizes flexibility, adaptability and iterative processes, many Germans tend to plan thoroughly, theorize and avoid mistakes. To make matters worse, this traditional way of thinking and acting is expressed in subtle ways without people really being aware of it. It is therefore not surprising if resistance arises that is not logically comprehensible or if the transformation process is in a continuous loop.

This is where I come in: as an intercultural coach, I accompany you and your team through this change. I help you to harmonize the principles of agility with existing cultural norms. My goal is to create an environment in which flexibility in thinking and acting is not only accepted, but actively encouraged.

My approach
Intercultural competence: The socialization process, which is often accompanied by painful restrictions, is given more leeway again. What is right and wrong? What is possible and impossible? Where have we set ourselves limits that block us today and stand in the way of intercultural acceptance? Questions of this kind not only promote understanding within your team, but also cooperation with all customers.
Promote flexibility: Through targeted workshops and coaching sessions, I support you in developing an agile mindset. We work together to break down barriers and establish a culture of trial and error and learning. In doing so, we can learn from other cultures, such as the American "try and error" approach.
Accompanying a change in values: The transition from a planning-oriented to an agile way of working requires a change in values. I am at your side as a coach to help you shape this sensitive process in a sustainable way.
Success through cultural sensitivity
With my intercultural expertise, I can support you with the challenges of agile transformation. I understand the intricacies of German culture and am also aware of the benefits of agile methods from different cultural perspectives. Together, we can develop an agile corporate culture that is both effective and sustainable.
The traditional German concept for success:

1. theory is followed by detailed planning
2. the plan is meticulously organized and
3. incorporated into a traditional structure.
4. contracts ensure that everyone knows their area of responsibility and can be held accountable if the worst comes to the worst.
